Ian has developed a unique technique for the deadlift – a technique that he believes is superior for hypertrophy in these areas as well as for transfer to sport. These techniques require application over time – but from his experiences Ian is confident that the rewards justify the effort in learning his technique.
This DVD covers many variables relating to the deadlift. Body position variables: feet width & angle, knee & hip movement, trunk & pelvis angles, and head position. Equipment variables: how to select the bar & plates, chalk & wrist straps. Management issues: warm-up, stretching, warm-up sets, arousal and recovery. Safety issues: such as spotters and protecting your back.
There is so much ground covered! It also touches briefly on the deadlift variations, including the stiff legged deadlift, the clean & high pull, and the single leg deadlift variations, then concludes with a special section dedicated to more advanced issues such as belts and smelling salts.
